12 years after having my daughter I still blamed ‘the bump’ for my weight increase and I didn’t know which was the biggest my belly or bum!

When I contacted Sarah I told her I wanted to lose around 2 stone. I am a cyclist and thought through exercise alone I could do this.  She asked me to send her a list of all the meals and alcohol intake in a week. Then said I'll draft you something up. To be honest I don't like doing diets and was dreading the out come. The response I got was great, not only did she send me a list of dietary options but a full break down of food types and how they help the body and why we need to use these in our diet.

Sarah also sent me a list of exercises which were only 30 minutes long so I could fit them into a busy day. The diet is going great and I'm really enjoying what I eat.  So far I've lost 11lb and it's only been 2 weeks...

Working in IT being mainly office based I’ve gradually packed on the pounds over the last 13 years fluctuating a little losing a bit, gaining a bit, at my heaviest I was 15 stone and 5’ 7’’.  As I was coming up-to the big 40, not really doing much activity, suffering from borderline hypertension (High Blood Pressure), and really struggling from a motivation point of view I was invited to a Bootcamp Style Fitness Training Session by Sarah.  The timing couldn’t have been better having turned 40 the week before, so decided to give it a go.

I was 14 stone 7 lbs that first week, and since then I have lost over 3 stone in weight, 2 inches off my neck, and about 4 to 5 inches off my waist in about 3 to 4 months.  My blood pressure is now within the normal range without being dependant on medication which was a big thing for me.  I have that feel good factor when looking in the mirror, I feel more confident, and best of all I feel more alive, and fitter than I was in my 20’s.  Sarah is an amazing person, and very good at what she does, not just shouting out orders, but training alongside you, giving advice, complimenting and keeping everyone motivated.   

Before starting the bootcamp sessions I never realised how unfit I was, that first session was really hard, spending quite a bit of time feeling like I was going to die, and I must admit to still aching 4 days later.  There is something about training with Sarah that seems to keep me going back for more to further improve myself.  Sarah constantly changes the routines so you never get bored of the same training session week after week.  I have learnt such a lot from training with Sarah, and would recommend her to anyone whether you are wanting to lose weight, wanting to get fit but lacking the motivation to get going, or are already fit, and want to keep it up.

I am 45 and overweight and I would say I have done very little proper exercise over the last few years. With a holiday looming I finally decided I needed to sort things out for myself but like most people lacked the knowledge and motivation to do so. I contacted Sarah with a view to some personal training sessions and after an initial consultation to discuss my goals I booked a block of sessions based on the fact that Sarah seemed very professional and knowledgeable, but most of all because I felt at ease with her which I think is important.

I have been training with Sarah now for seven weeks, I have lost over a stone and a half in weight and feel significantly fitter. The sessions are tailored to my personal needs and although the emphasis is on working hard to get the required results they are also fun, we have plenty of laughs and the hour flies by. Sarah is great at keeping me motivated which in the past has been a big problem where exercise is concerned.

I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone thinking of using a personal trainer, as I mentioned before she is extremely professional, her enthusiasm for her client’s progress is obvious and she never less than encouraging. >During the sessions she manages to strike the perfect balance between disciplined training instructor and friend who you can have a few laughs with. Her commitment is absolutely fantastic and provided you put in the effort, the results will speak for themselves.I cannot express how happy I am that I found Sarah to train me, some people may think that personal training is not for them but I would say give it a go, for me it has been one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

For most of my adult life I have struggled with my weight. I have tried every diet under the sun; Weight Watchers, Slimming World even liquid diets. My weight ranged from 7 stone 7 to 12 stone 9 pounds. I had come to a point where I had to do something about it or just accept it. In a final attempt to get back in control I looked on the internet and found Sarah.

 Since starting my training with Sarah I have lost a stone and am sure that with Sarah’s help I will lose the rest of the weight. Sarah is friendly, helpful and really motivational. If she can help me, a 58 year old very unfit and overweight woman, she can help anyone. I now have a much better relationship with food and have stopped bingeing. I can also run 2 miles. None of this would have been possible without Sarah’s help. For the first time in my life I look forward to exercise!!

I'm a busy mum of 3 and definately don't have the time or motivation to go to the gym....I've joined gyms with the best intentions in the past and it's lasted at most a few weeks!  Sarah is the most enthusiastic person I know and never fails to motivate.  she's experienced and loves what she does and it shows.  She always makes sessions hard work but fun!  and she tailors each session to suit your own personal needs, leaving you feeling focused.  My only regret is not starting 10 years ago!

Ok, where to begin?..
Right, so I’ve always been pretty fit and energetic, always walked, cycled, physical(ish) job and have been into weight training for around 16 years (too many Scwarzenegger and Stallone films as a child maybe??).

Anyway, I’ve pretty much always trained alone and I think I have done pretty well, having built a strong, muscular frame, in fact, I was pretty proud of what I’d achieved with essentially no help or advice.
The problem was, as I hit my 30’s, my body wasn’t reacting as easily anymore to the stimulus I was giving it with the weights, I’d become complacent over the years with cardio training (my body seemed to want to be naturally lean) and I’d fallen in to the ‘weight-lifting trap’ of, ‘balls to the wall’ training, huge amounts of weight, low reps, ‘eating big to get big’ and honestly, at one point I was probably substituting good lifting form for more weight (silly boy), and to be honest, I probably didn’t do any cardio training between being 28 and 30.
Now the problem was, I was now losing the muscular definition and shape that I had spent so long sculpting and it was being replaced by puffy, shapeless blocks where the muscle used to be, (I’m ashamed to say I almost achieved man boobs….sigh). So what to do??

Now, I’ve know Sarah for a few years, I know what she does and I know that she always seemed to be super fit and always looked in great shape, better shape than me certainly, and honestly, I wished I was in that good shape.

Asking for help when I’ve always found my own way in training, was difficult for me, like admitting defeat, but everybody needs a hand now and then don’t they?! So I contacted Sarah, told her I wanted to get back to my lean, fit condition again, and it began..

Now, honestly, I always thought I trained pretty damn hard, never had a training partner that could keep up etc.. but damn I was wrong. Having discussed what I wanted to achieve, Sarah designed routines that worked my entire body in ways I hadn’t done for years and I was aching in muscles that I had long forgotten about, and damn it was hard work!! But you know what they say, ‘No Pain, No gain!!’ .

After a few sessions of getting to grips with the exercises, many of which were new to me, we discussed nutrition too, which in all honesty was another of my failings (I like to eat). I’ve got to admit, she certainly knows her stuff and within weeks, my fitness levels were increasing and to my surprise, my body was starting to look lean and muscular again (yay, no man boobs for me!!). I am so pleased with the results and happy to look in the mirror again.

I have to say too, I like the fact that Sarah trained alongside me, for me there is nothing worse than someone who tells you what to do, but isn’t doing it themselves. She pushes hard and it makes me want to work harder too.

In summary, I have to say Sarah is, in my opinion, exceptional at what she does, and I would recommend her to anyone wanting to get fit, lose weight or just wake themselves up a bit in their training. She even managed to help me with a back/arm problem that my physio had failed to rectify for 6 months.

Sarah's routines are always varied and tailored to your individual needs. I have dropped 2 dress sizes due to Sarah's training. All my friends are commenting on how I looked slimmer and fitter. Even a total stranger stopped us on one of our running sessions to tell me how good I was looking - made my day! Thanks Sarah!

I found Sarah on-line after reading reviews and began training with Sarah twice a week from last September 2017.  I set myself the goal to go from a size 26 to a size 16 by May when I go on holiday. I am really pleased to say I am a size 18 and nearly into my size 16 with a month to go yippee! I have to say not only are the training sessions challenging and fun of course eating is also important, no problem Sarah has that covered too. I have been provided with a diet which I have followed since September and got into a routine with ... finally a healthy eating plan that you don’t get bored with. I can tell you I have followed every diet going this one is a way of life. I have lost 4.5 stones so far with Sarah with more to come. I can definitely recommend Sarah. If I can do this you can!
